Shooting Musicalia's pilot clip

The shooting took place on June the 9th, at the lovely Museum of Portuguese Music - Casa Verdades de Faria, located in Estoril, Cascais, in the outskirts of Lisbon. We used a very small technical team, lead by Octávio Marques (Senso), with Rui Garção (RGG) as director.

The pilot clip

On June 2009, Musicalia's pilot clip was shot in Estoril (Cascais), at the Museum of Portuguese Music - Casa Verdades de Faria. It features the beautiful nostalgic Prelude from the "Petite Suite" written by young composer António Fragoso (1897-1918) - a piece that pianist Miguel Henriques had recorded among most of the composer's solo piano music on a CD that was first released by the Numérica label in 1994 and again in 2007.

The first steps

Beautiful, exciting, breathtaking, audacious music, written by inspired and skilled composers. Today, like in the Middle Ages or in any other time, Portuguese composers do not cease to surprise us with their varied styles and great artistry - and their music is praised anywhere in the world it is performed. This TV series, whose production is now starting off, will feature works of all times, from solo and chamber music to orchestral miniatures, played by great performers. The shooting locations will be Portugal's magnificent architectural and natural patrimonial sites.

By December 2009, we should have the first part of this hopefully longlasting series ready for broadcast. We'll gradually post news about what, when and where you can watch. You will not want to miss any single bit!
